Is The AMD Radeon RX 480 Still Worth Buying in 2019?

Today we’re checking out the Sapphire Nitro 8GB RX 480 and talking about how the price of this has decreased over the last year or so, making it sound like a very desirable option to those looking at spending close to £100 or $100, or maybe even less of you get lucky on an auction!

So let’s see how this handles itself and what graphical settings it seems to favour when we’ve got a 60FPS target in mind.

Thanks for watching 🙂

I got the 4gb version of this sapphire card for something like £180 when it launched. Still using it now, it was a great buy. If you're only doing 1080p gaming then it will run anything you throw at it just fine. I'm running it with a ryzen 3600 these days (even with a FX8320 it ran great).

  • comment-avatar

I still use my Reference RX 480 8GB since 2016 and it runs games like a beast, never have too much problems although in 2020 and 2021 it might be a challenge.
