Sleek Perfection

This is the latest look for the Stylista x Pantene collaboration. Another new and diverse look compared to the previous ones. This look is part sci-fi, slightly looking futuristic giving me a vibe of Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games, thanks to the braid which goes around my head. At the same time, it has the high fashion ala-Parisian chic.

Here I am again with Alex Carbonell!

It gives the impression that the hair is aerodynamic and moving at an incredibly high speed just like those sci-fi stuff we see in movies (think Princess Leia). My hair was pulled in different directions (as you can see) when they had to part them into three to enable them to produce a clean braid starting from the top of my head to the side of my ear.

For this look it really had to be straight clean and tidy, explains the preparations and the [with the lack of a better term] torture my hair had to go through — SO THANK GOD FOR PANTENE!!

Tugging at the roots may totally cause hair fall along with all the pinning and tying but thanks to Pantene Hair Fall Control, my hair was able to withstand all. I must say that the effort was all worth it. This is what is needed to achieve a sleek, pulled and tight braid to perfection.

On to my look — I decided to go for something monochrome with a ton of hardware since this sort of reminds me of those sci-fi movies. Think: Space ships, Lighsabers, chains, laser guns and all that jazz. Hence, the outfit and my choice of accessories.

Controlled Chaos

Do you remember the Pantene teaser I posted? Well, this is about the Stylista x Pantene collaboration between my fellow bloggers Laureen, Camille, Kryz and yours truly. With this first look, the first of four looks for the Pantene Stylista Series, this is called Controlled Chaos. It’s a spontaneous blend of textures, colors and technique. The person who styled and implemented the look was Pantene hair expert Alex Carbonell. He was to execute a hair style that shows controlled spontaneity, mixed with textures, colors and technique to arrive at a look that will best epitomize what Pantene can do for your hair.

The first thing that was done to my hair was the usual shampooing and conditioning of my hair. But we didn’t use the typical salon shampoo and conditioner cause they used Pantene’s Total Damage Care. This prepared my hair for the heat and styling that it was about to go through. I’m pretty damn sure you can see how shiny, healthy and manageable my hair looks? ALL THANKS TO PANTENE! I swear, what would I do without Pantene.

Then he created a geometric zigzag line in contrast to the usual straight line to have two sections. The two sections were then twisted and tied in the middle. Think a modernized Game of Thrones kind of do. Pretty cool I must say!

This hairstyle can be called Controlled Chaos for the style maybe simple but the simple detail of the line creates a unique look coupled with my hair color. My color in itself is somewhat chaotic and yet controlled. It is neat, clean and simple looking but the difference is in the details.

| Corset: Topshop | Skirt: American Apparel | Heels: Aldo | Necklace: Things That Matter | Bracelets: Cuff (From my cousin-in-law, Jen), Brown Warp Around (Extreme Finds), Charm Bracelet (SM Accessories), Neon Orange (Call It Spring) | Ring: Charlotte Russe | Glove: Vintage |

Stylista x Pantene

Whenever I receive comments, emails, tweets and the like, one of the topics that is always brought up is my hair. Like what colour it is, how do I keep it looking the way it does after all the coloring, what products I use and all that jazz. I for one enjoy experimenting with my hair (I’m sure you all remember the coloured streaks and the red hair) and I’m glad Pantene is there to help protect and keep my hair healthy.

Want to know what this is all about? Well let me tell you all about it. SO. Pantene has teamed up with 4 of your favorite fashion bloggers once again and I am very flattered to be one of them! Remember I did something with Pantene late last year with Barney Martin? Well, this time around we’ll be working with Pantene hair expert Alex Carbonell (celebrity stylist and chief creative director of Studio Fix by Alex Carbonell salon). Each blogger will be sporting four different hairstyles each!

Next month, I will show you four different (and very trendy) do’s that you can sport and work into your oen different ensembles. This is just a teaser. Wait up for the next few posts! I am beyond ecstatic to be able to continue this amazing partnership with Pantene through this new project called Stylista x Pantene.
