Sway

A few weeks back I with my fellow Pantene Stylistas were able to undergo another hair makeover but this time around with other bloggers! We were each asked to invite one blogger to join us during the makeover and photo shoot. More of that in my next blog post! So, with that said, many of you might find my blog post title quite familiar, well maybe reading THIS post will refresh your memories.

Kris TV BTS: Taping Day 1

As a number of you might have read THIS blog post, you might have wondered what daytime show I was talking about. Well, if I might add, it’s a day time talk show, hosted by the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino! Yes, I’m talking about Kris TV! You can only imagine how excited and nervous I was when we shot the scenes for the VTR let alone for the studio taping itself — But more on that if you continue reading!

For the episode Camille and I are a part of, we both had to represent the Pantene Nature Care line. I was for Team Bounce (Pantene Nature Care Fullness and LIfe) while Camille (Pantene NAture Care Smoothness and Life) was for Team Sway.

Well, here we go. It was time for me to get in front of the camera! If you notice my dress, I wore my Scala dress from Dress Empire! Remember THIS blog post? Anyways, Camille and I wanted to be semi-matching for this part of the video — And surprisingly it happened every single time we had to get changed. Coincidence? I think so!

Since I was for Team Bounce, I had some gorgeously curled hair — Gosh, if only my hair looked this good on a daily basis. But wait! It’s possible! And, yes. I’m being serious! Believe it or not, if you want gorgeously effortless wavy hair then Pantene Nature Care’s Fullness and Life can certainly help you out in that aspect, believe me! I actually use that shampoo and conditioner tandem on a daily basis.

Sadly we had to keep changing the position of where we were to sit cause the rain decided it wanted to be a part of the Kris TV episode we were going to be on. Btw, that’s how it looks behind the scenes, I was actually very intrigued with how things were. I mean, yeah I’ve seen Julia do her thing before but when it’s you, it’s at a whole different perspective!

If you catch me at a mall, more specifically at a coffee shop or at a restaurant, well, this is how I look like when I’m either blogging, tweeting or answering emails and blog comments. I normally blog with my phone right next to me as well as a nice hot cup (in this case tumbler) of tea or coffee and of course, food as well to help me concentrate.

We filmed in different locations around ABS which was fun, this was my first TV VTR and TV semi-acting stint. In fairness it wasn’t as hard or nerve wrecking as I thought it would be! It could have possibly been a tad bit easier without the random people watching you and wondering, Why in the world is this chick being filmed? Who is she? HAHA Cause I ain’t no celebrity, right?

And to cap off our taping day? Some good chocolate cake at Grams, and yes, they were filming us eat and chat but it’s all good, haha! Thank God, I was given the chance to work with one of my blogger besties, Camille. Cause if it was I alone then I think I wouldn’t have been able to do it!

FOR ALL THOSE WONDERING, YOU CAN CATCH CAMS AND I ON AIR ON OCTOBER 11, 2012 AT 8AM! IT IS GOING TO BE IN FRONT OF A LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE!! I HOPE YOU CAN ALL TRY TO WAKE UP EARLY TO WATCH IT!!
Yes, that announcement deserved an all caps blod text sorta thing.

Natural Luminosity

It’s about time for a Pantene x Stylista post yet again! Sadly this is our last post for this collaboration. This look is entitled: Natural Luminosity. This is a special look for this is inspired by nature.

Anything that is natural or from nature has its own beautiful inherent characteristic. I for one am a lover of anything natural and anything that has something to do with nature believe it or not! Anything natural is pretty much deep rooted, inbred or simply innate. It doesn’t need any alteration. Just like when they say naturally beautiful, it doesn’t need alterations.

Just like this look. The stylist, Alex Carbonell was influenced by some of the textural finishes of the collection and in particular the grain of wood. The natural grains of wood is smooth and continuous. It creates a well blended monochromatic shades of brown.

My hair was neatly parted into two parts and the top part was teased to give it a good amount of volume. It was then all put together in a half ponytail, then wrapped with strands of hair to keep the ponytail neat and in place. This look is very classy — Something perfect for formal or dressy occasions.

This look combines natural volume but shiny and manageable. You need a light conditioner and shampoo tandem that can deliver this. If you use a wrong kind of product, it will make you hair heavy and not achieve the good volume you want.

To achieve a look inspired by nature only means using products that are also inspired by nature, Pantene Nature Care Series no less.

On to my look. When I hear nature, the first in mind are trees, flowers and foliage. I really love this top for how good it fits and how happy the prints are. My mullet skirt is brightly colored to compliment my bright top and is made of this soft flowing chiffon. I love how it naturally moves when the wind blows. It shows natural movement or life.

| Corset: H&M | Mullet Skirt: Wild Stuffs | Heels: Zara | Belt: Forever 21 | Necklace: From my cousin in law, Jen | Bracelets: From Villefranche, France (Charm Bracelet), WAGW (Spiked Cuff), Extreme Finds (Tasseled Cuff) and The Bead Shop (Coloured Cuff) | Ring: From Barcelona, Spain |

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or so they say. If you ask me, beauty is essential but has to be from within. Just like beautiful hair, it comes from healthy and strong roots. That goes for everything. Beauty is not something imposed but something immanent. Now, that’s Natural Luminosity (all thanks to Pantene of course)!

Sleek Perfection

This is the latest look for the Stylista x Pantene collaboration. Another new and diverse look compared to the previous ones. This look is part sci-fi, slightly looking futuristic giving me a vibe of Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games, thanks to the braid which goes around my head. At the same time, it has the high fashion ala-Parisian chic.

Here I am again with Alex Carbonell!

It gives the impression that the hair is aerodynamic and moving at an incredibly high speed just like those sci-fi stuff we see in movies (think Princess Leia). My hair was pulled in different directions (as you can see) when they had to part them into three to enable them to produce a clean braid starting from the top of my head to the side of my ear.

For this look it really had to be straight clean and tidy, explains the preparations and the [with the lack of a better term] torture my hair had to go through — SO THANK GOD FOR PANTENE!!

Tugging at the roots may totally cause hair fall along with all the pinning and tying but thanks to Pantene Hair Fall Control, my hair was able to withstand all. I must say that the effort was all worth it. This is what is needed to achieve a sleek, pulled and tight braid to perfection.

On to my look — I decided to go for something monochrome with a ton of hardware since this sort of reminds me of those sci-fi movies. Think: Space ships, Lighsabers, chains, laser guns and all that jazz. Hence, the outfit and my choice of accessories.

| Top: Topshop | Skirt: Forever 21 | Heels: Jeffrey Campbell | Bag: Alexander Wang | Necklace: From my cousin-in-law, Jen | Watch: Kenneth Cole | Bracelets: WAGW (Spikes), Extreme Finds (Silver Tassled Bangle), H&M (Braided) | Connector Ring: SM Accessories |

Controlled Chaos

Do you remember the Pantene teaser I posted? Well, this is about the Stylista x Pantene collaboration between my fellow bloggers Laureen, Camille, Kryz and yours truly. With this first look, the first of four looks for the Pantene Stylista Series, this is called Controlled Chaos. It’s a spontaneous blend of textures, colors and technique. The person who styled and implemented the look was Pantene hair expert Alex Carbonell. He was to execute a hair style that shows controlled spontaneity, mixed with textures, colors and technique to arrive at a look that will best epitomize what Pantene can do for your hair.

The first thing that was done to my hair was the usual shampooing and conditioning of my hair. But we didn’t use the typical salon shampoo and conditioner cause they used Pantene’s Total Damage Care. This prepared my hair for the heat and styling that it was about to go through. I’m pretty damn sure you can see how shiny, healthy and manageable my hair looks? ALL THANKS TO PANTENE! I swear, what would I do without Pantene.

Then he created a geometric zigzag line in contrast to the usual straight line to have two sections. The two sections were then twisted and tied in the middle. Think a modernized Game of Thrones kind of do. Pretty cool I must say!

This hairstyle can be called Controlled Chaos for the style maybe simple but the simple detail of the line creates a unique look coupled with my hair color. My color in itself is somewhat chaotic and yet controlled. It is neat, clean and simple looking but the difference is in the details.

| Corset: Topshop | Skirt: American Apparel | Heels: Aldo | Necklace: Things That Matter | Bracelets: Cuff (From my cousin-in-law, Jen), Brown Warp Around (Extreme Finds), Charm Bracelet (SM Accessories), Neon Orange (Call It Spring) | Ring: Charlotte Russe | Glove: Vintage |

(This is done in collaboration with Pantene)
